What gets counted on Ethereum
Wallet tokens, and then the part balance checkers skip: positions. Lending, liquidity pools, deposits, staking and farming, each carrying its supply, reward and borrow legs — rewards inside the position's value, debt subtracting from it, so the total is what the money is actually worth.
Aave loans wearing their health factors, Uniswap V3 ranges read from the pool itself, Lido and restaking positions, Pendle splits — the shapes Ethereum invented, counted at net value.
Checked against the chain itself
On Ethereum, two refinements come straight from the contracts: a Uniswap V3 position's band is read from the pool's own tick — in range or out is a fact, not a guess — and Aave V3 loans carry a health factor and borrow rate read on-chain.
